690th MP Co Swapping Unit Patches 2010.07.08
Local Veterans and community attended the 690th Military Police Company repatching ceremony on July 8, 2010 at 8551 W Venable St., Crystal River, FL. The 690th is moving from the 50th Area Support Group to the 164th Air Defense Artillery Brigade. While this may seem a fairly normal occurrence in the military, this was a historic day in the 690th's history. The rear detachment will be swapping unit patches at the same time as the forward unit swaps patch in Afghanistan. Military journalist (PAO) covered the event on both sides. Citrus county has some of the best veterans anywhere. Many of the local groups have supported them during several of our past events.
